Thelma, a talented cake designer based in Leyton, is excited to share her expertise in cake decoration through a series of courses offered in partnership with the Waltham Forest Adult Learning Service.

Thelma's journey in cake decorating began in her childhood, and she honed her skills over the years, eventually earning a bronze medal for her sugar flowers at the Craft Guild of Chiefs competition. Now, she's eager to pass on her knowledge and passion to learners of all levels.

Thelma says, "I'm a Leyton-based cake designer specialising in bespoke celebration cakes. My passion for cake decorating began in childhood, culminating in crafting my first wedding cake at 18. Winning a bronze medal for my sugar flower spray at the Craft Guild of Chiefs competition was a proud moment. My goal is to share the joy of creating beautiful cakes by helping learners of all levels achieve their decorating dreams."

Thelma is skilled in professional cookery, patisserie, and confectionery, with expertise in royal icing, piping, brush embroidery, sugar foliage, floral sprays, and cake design theory, including the colour wheel and design planning."
