Practical Gardening Skills
This gardening course is designed for adults eager to enhance their gardening techniques. Participants will develop confidence and proficiency in a variety of gardening skills and successful completion will earn you a City and Guilds Level 1 Award in Practical Horticulture Skills.
You will gain essential skills in ground preparation for sowing and planting, weed identification and management, shrub pruning for better plant health, and effective grass and turf care. The course also covers plant identification, as well as exploring different soil types and methods for their improvement.
Practical sessions will take place at St Mary’s Churchyard in Walthamstow Village. Ensure you bring suitable clothing, gardening gloves, and a notebook and pen to make the most of your learning experience.
